Attention Las Vegas Marines
I'm sure someone will complain that this is not the forum for this film, but you are the guys I wanted to share it with, and you probably wouldn't see it on a military forum.
Marines aren’t supposed to cry so I guess I’ll have to turn in my stripes. I doubt anyone, Marine or not, can watch this without some tears. I had never heard this part of the Makin Island story. WOW! This film is beyond “touching”, I hope it is shown to all Marines.
The final shot of the film appears to be at the Veterans’ Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I know what I’ll be doing my next trip over to Santa Fe.
