No need to change it! We all have our drunken addictions! Now he's found another addiction, drunk on something else! Many are drunk with their Smartphones today, or drunk with gambling!

What's bad is it doesn't just affect me. Everything and everyone I am involved with are equally cursed. From businesses to friends to family.

When was the best time to live in/near Vegas? Now? A period in the past?

My husband lived here from 1984-1986 before I met him. He said there was virtually no crime back then. The town was too small for him and he wanted to move to a bigger city. He was lured here for work. TV technician. He said the living was easy back then. He rented down on East Charleston and everything was nice and new. Low traffic. Not like it is now. I visited with friends in 1984 to Fremont street and stayed at The Mint, and I liked the feel of the city. And you could actually win in the casinos on a regular basis. Nice lure. Not like now.

So if you like the small town feel, less crime, less people, less everything, I think getting into your time machine and setting it for the 1970's to early 80's would be a good bet. I bet the 70's had even less of everything.

There were a lot more hookers on the strip back then. My parents used to drag me to Las Vegas all the time when I was a child and let me wander the strip on my own. Today they'd probably get charged with parental negligence.

A Vegan is someone with hearing problems. They can't hear a tomato scream when you cut into it.
