Usually earlier in the day on a weekday. Sunday seems to be the worst at any Costco I have ever been at. Saturday is the second worst.

Also best to take a miss on the first few days of the month. Lots of checks (paycheck, retirement, benefit) arrive around the first.
And if the first of the month is on a Friday, OMG stay away that whole weekend.

I have never been inside a Costco, Sam's Club or Whole Foods in Las Vegas!

I hate to drive, I also work the night shift, and I limit my shopping to what is ever within a mile of my house: La Bonita, Albertson's, Smith's, Marketon , Smart & Final. And they had better be open after I get off work at 6am!

Isn't Costco largely for those that are into bulk purchasing?

Who else is putting Xmas lights outside this year?

I put mine up yesterday, and then? One string is not functioning, so I had to replace that string with a string that's doesn't blend with the others. So, screw it! Far from perfect, but so what!!!

Have a fantastic Thanksgiving, Las Vegas. It's a bit chilly out, but it's another gorgeous day, nonetheless . . . Enjoy.

Yes - a beautiful day here in Las Vegas. I'll dine out with Wifey and then head up to Fremont Street to see a band or two.

Have a safe and satisfying Thanksgiving, all.

Bill

Dual-purpose Thanksgiving. 40 or so people coming over for our annual "Orphan Thanksgiving", for some of our friends with no immediate family in town. Plus, we're collecting donations today for distribution to the homeless on Sunday. Socks, granola bars, gloves, water, hats, snacks. Non-monetary stuff that hopefully will help. We should have enough to give out to 150 homeless..

Speaking of which, does anyone know the best location where the largest concentration can be found? I was thinking Washington/Main/Foremaster during daylight hours, in a group. Any other spots come to mind?

My wife and I toured the Costco in Garden City, KS. I don't dig the warehouse product deal. I don't need enough dill pickles in a jar to feed a fleet, just my wife and I. It just does not appeal to us. We've "toured" about 3 of them in the various locales we've lived in.
