Why are people reposting "dead" threads? Is this a September 10th tradition??

Some of these street names in the newer areas of town!!! Who on earth came up with some these names? And under what conditions? After a few Martini's at a local bar?

Today's paper: police and medical crews were called at 7:38am to the 100 block of Crooked Putter Drive, near Rhodes Ranch Golf Club.

Sheesh! I wouldn't even live on a street with that ridiculous name!

In the Wednesday's supplement section, they always give a map of the East Valley, with different colored circles to indicate various crimes committed, in which neighborhoods.

This week's crime totals:

121 car thefts
30 robberies
4 narcotics arrests
2 homicides
149 assault & battery
120 burglaries

It doesn't seem to change, week by week, about the same statistics.

But it's still rather mind-boggling! Just think of all those people who had their cars stolen, let alone the burglaries, and that's just one week!

Should never have gotten near that whole house water thread.

So this morning the well died. Normal start back up. No joy.

Call the well guys. Pumps dead. So got to be pullled.

Get the crane all set. Bees. Got the well guys and a couple of neighbors. Got to get a bee keeper to get rid of the colony before we can work on the well. So no water until tomorrow.

$9,000 or so it sounds like divided by four . But it has been 11 or 12 years since the last one.

I have always felt blessed that I have great eyesight. I also have always felt very sympathetic to anyone who was blind. I wake up to find this in my email. I am at a loss for words. Seriously?

Sometimes at night, I ride my bike over to Eastern/DI to mail some letters, usually around 3-4am. Around that time, in a shopping center @ DI/Pecos McLeod, I've noticed for some time, lots of cars and a line of people at that hour, in front of a commercial establishment with no name on it.

A church? At that hour? A temp agency for day workers? What could it be?

Well, tonite, I rode my bike over near the front door and asked someone in line what they were waiting for.

Never would have ever guessed it: it's a Methadone clinic/distribution center! Wonder how many others there are in this city!

A big hug and kiss to Jerry Brown, Governor of CA, who finally signed off the Right-To-Die Law in CA, which makes it the 5th state to have it, along with OR, WA, MT and VT. But it was a huge victory, given the populace of CA, so now 1 out of 6 in this country have the option of physician-assisted suicide.

So if you only have 6 months to live, are in extreme pain, now you can just scoot over to CA to end it!

There was a bipartisan effort to bring a Right-to-Die law in the last NV legislature, but Dr. Hardy/legislator, from Boulder City, head of the health department, refused to even listen to the proposal!

And did I ever send a nasty email to him!

Tonite I'll be sending a congratulatory email to Jerry Brown!
