I think Amateur Radio. Likely goes back to the Radio Telegraph codes which in turn came from land line telegraph. And the codes were not all Morse...In fact the telegraph codes were a good bit different.

Too many abbreviations. Half the time I don't know what everyone's talking about so I pretend I do.

gomanas, you said oh my god, in my humble opinion, rolling on floor laughing and ta ta for now. I have no idea what ita is. I tickle apes? I take aspirin? I taste apples? Its tough already?
I know most of the jargon, just some I wonder about. That XYL thing was weird for awhile. I figured it was an ex girlfriend kind of thing or they didnt have a clue what they were talking about anyway.

No Joke, she fell off a wall at my hubby's great aunt's house. The wall was only 19 1/2 inches tall. She fell onto the driveway. She was with my Mother in Law, so not sure how she fell. We still can not figure out how she broke it. Good news is she only has to wear it for 3 weeks.

Ouchie koo! I broke my left arm/wrist in two places when I was a kid, playing roller derby. This was back in the 70's, when all they had was plaster casts. got the "Sunday Special", which came up the middle of my left bicep. To this day, I can't hold that hand flat. Thank God I'm right handed!

It's definitely a bright and sunny day today around 90 something. Tomorrow supposed to be 95 and wednesday too. Not good. I am conserving and not turning on the a/c. Cannot afford those godawful bills so if you don't hear from me for a few days, i may have melted into the carpet.
It is hotter than heck upstairs where my desk is and where I sleep. It's too much trouble to reverse everything and put the kitchen upstairs and the bedroom downstairs.
