The more you say you hate something, the worse it gets for you. Next time it rains, sometime this week it should rain a lot, get out there and frolic in it. Do a rain dance. act goofy. Just have fun once or twice before you go to the great beyond. And speaking of that, when is your ticket out? maybe we can have a going away party for you.

Unhappy Serious problem at my apartment complex

I have no idea what to do here? I moved into my apartment in the beginning of last month. They gave me my house key and pool/laundry key. I then asked for the mailbox key and they told me they do not have mailboxes. They told me all mail goes to the office and I have to pick it up there each day. I told them I have never heard of an arrangement like that, and I do not like it one bit. I am paranoid, but my paranoia is now becoming realty. I am now convinced someone is stealing my mail.

Here goes:

1. 3 years ago a roommate in a house I was staying at stole my social security card. I have never replaced it until now. The apartments MADE me go and get another one. The social security office gave a paper saying my card will be arriving within a week in which I showed the apartment office to move in. That was on the 7th of this month. My social security card is now missing in action. This is downright dangerous!

2. I have noticed I have not gotten any of my bills here. In fact, I have not received even one piece of mail. I called both Cox and Nevada Energy on Friday to find out both bills were mailed out, Cox being on the 11th and is overdue. I have also not been receiving my paycheck stubs from work.

Now, the address here is very easy and I have double checked everything I have used it for. It is correct on all so that is not the problem. I have NEVER had this problem in any other apartments I have lived in. I have changed my bank, credit card, Nevada Energy and Cox to paperless billing so I am ok there, but still am I supposed to live somewhere where I cannot receive mail??? I am going to have to confront them in the office, but I do not know how to go about it? Tact is not one of my strong points, and I do not want to get kicked out of here since I cannot afford any other apartments. These apartments are literally the cheapest in the whole Las Vegas metro.

help

Don't I know. His caretakers work very hard to please him, but we just can't seem to meet his lofty standards.

The post says you moved the 7th of this month, today is October 3rd. I think you meant September, it hasn't been a full month since the move in-date. Did you change your address with your employer to receive your pay stubs or did you just do a forwarding of your mail with the post office? I'm sure the post office is holding your mail if you check there. Get a PO Box.

Yep, I meant to say September 7th. I changed all my information on my accounts, but I never forwarded my mail with the post office. I called my employer on the phone to do an address change.
