You're right. I think I came across an article that incorrectly stated it was still $5.15. In any case, it's still a sad state of affairs.

If any of our former cigar/pipe smoking Presidents came back from the grave, assembled in Central Park in NYC, and were told they couldn't smoke there, or in a bar, or in a restaurant, what would be their response?

Yup! Let's bring the British back!

Those embracing democracy in the Middle East, are they really looking closely at the pitfalls of democracy?

They vote on a ballot measure, it passes 55%-45%. Ah! The beauty of democracy: let the 45% lose some freedom!

Democracy is nothing but two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner. That is why are country was started as a Republic. Unfortunately, that is long gone now as we are now a fascist country that corporations run.

dems or reps are just two sides of the same coin. They need each other to justify their jobs. Ever heard of a politician retiring poor? We're too soft to do anything about it.

No hallucinating here. I have no doubt oil will be close to (or more than) $160 by June as I said back in October.

He has been a corrections officer for 16 years. I know he started in death row. It was horrible. He moved to many places since then. He has been in a tower for around 4 years now.

Heyla, gang!

I'm just about to crash, and I wanted to let you all know that I'm doing pretty good. As you all can read in my status, I've lost a good amount of weight since I was last online.

How?!?

I've become a "modified" vegetarian!

I still LOVE meat, I just don't want to eat it while I'm dieting.

Yes, I'm still "poor".
Yes, I'm still living with my friends.
No, I've given up booze while I'm on this diet.

And, sadly, I still miss my iggies VERY much.

Anyways...I bid you all goodnight. I have an appointment at UMC's Burn Care Unit at 11am. It's in their main building. I no longer have my cell phone (poor), so it's on their third floor, if any of you want to visit me. I'll be wearing my lodge's ball cap (Oasis Lodge #41 F&AM), if anyone wants to spy on me.

What can I say? I love the History Channel!
