My update:
Couldn't take it anymore and went to Centennial hills "Southwest Medical Associates urgent care" yesterday, after first going to Walmarts "The Clinic" and they told me they couldn't see me because I needed x-rays.
After x-rays, and a thing or two more, $400 later($225 just to see a doctor), the doctor is referring me to an orthopedic surgeon. But that cannot happen unless I get medicaid first. So went to the medical supply store today and now have a knee brace to keep my knee in alignment and a cane to keep me from falling on my face. Although I almost fell twice today getting used to it.
Prescription for a low dose hydrocodone was only $8 at Walmart.($4 if you have insurance) Too bad it doesn't take all the pain away, but it takes most of it so I will just have to deal with it. The tylenol and then the ibuprofen really didn't do much at all, so I needed something better. And of course I needed to know what it was that I had. At least nothing was fractured in there!
It should only get better. (i hope anyway)

Pink, did they offer you the assistance of a social worker to apply for Medicaid?

No, they did not. Are they supposed to?

GEICO is the bee's knees. According to everyone's favorite gecko, anyway.

I assumed the clinic would offer you some assistance in applying for medicaid since you are going to need medical coverage to take care of that knee.

She just told me to apply, and did not tell me how. I haven't a clue where to start, what the restrictions and requirements are, etc. I haven't had to worry about something like this for years, since we had been covered all the time up until the job losses. Why don't these thing happen when we have insurance? Even then, I bet it would have cost a fortune.

Thank you. I was just sharing my plans with my cyber friends here; I had no idea that someone would take offense to that.
