This simply isn't true. My only girlfriend that I ever had is now 51 years old. I met her when I was 21, and she was 38. She is absolutely gorgeous, even today. We are just friends now as she lives in Phoenix. I know you would not believe me, but she is hotter than a lot of 21 year olds. She has long black hair, green eyes, 5 foot 2, 105 pounds. Sure, the really hot 21 year olds look better, but they do not have the sweet personality like her. I personally have always liked the older women.

Sure I have seen some put together advanced women, but it wasn't done without help. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As your perception is one one woman, i'm looking at the general population. Gravity is real. It's reality. A womans looks fade, but a man can always make money. women are attracted to power and money. I just don't see many 21, 25, 30 year old males dating women in their 60's, 70's 80's..Yet a man with money in those age ranges can get women down the 21. Ask any woman and they will tell you. Their looks and age are a concern.

Caltovegas, I agree with you as for the norm, most guys who gets into a new relationship usually goes for someone younger and most girls i know are concern about their looks & age.

They all know that the time is ticking, and they better find someone quick before their pool of men shrinks.

As far as finding the one......hard to say, one gets boring, however it's always nice to find someone who has your back 100%.

Just joking... the problem in Vegas is so many of the attractive ladies are hit up on non-stop from drunk tourists, idiots who have watched too many lame Vegas movies, etc, etc..

Las Vegas Ladies have an automatic shield built around them and that is certainly not going to help out in meeting them.

Throw in the ratio of more men then women and your odds are further diminished.

As far as the money or looks thing... yep.. you are competing with this. Face it... competition is tough out here and guys do what they do. When you do get a hot girlfriend... you get to deal with this on a different front so don't think it's enjoyable. It's certainly high maintenance and you get to deal with all of the hard up guys hitting on her non-stop.

My current girlfriend lives in San Diego so I don't have to deal with the Las Vegas thing anymore since I spend my free time there. (It just worked out that way since I have so many friends in San Diego.) Her friends joke about their trips to Vegas and how stupid guys act around them... it's pretty entertaining.

I certainly don't miss the Vegas dating scene but don't blame the ladies.. it's the guys that have created the situation.

Wow. So all the "put-together" women have told you they had help or is that just your assumption? And today's economy may prove otherwise as to "a man can always make money".

My husband is younger than I am and most people we meet would never know it. And I have never had "help". Complement to me or not-so-much to him. Whatever. There are a lot of men that look a lot older than their age. Maybe you just can't tell that.

Gravity does work against people for sure. Men and women. I agree men tend to wear it better, generally. Or it is more acceptable. Many overweight men are with good looking women. Women accept that easier. And those chubby dudes are not always loaded either. But, I would think it is a bit hard for a 60ish yr old man or woman to keep up with a 20ish yr. old man or woman. Eventually, the puppy will stray...

Good luck, OP. Keep an open mind and know what you don't want from someone. I think if I became single again, I would choose to stay single...dating stinks.

It's a fact the beauty the industry is marketed toward women. Botox, liposuction, girdles, make up, fake hair, nails, etc. As for the 60 year old man he probably won't try to keep up with the young lady. He's happy with what he will get out of the deal. A great example is Hugh Heffner I have yet to see a woman pull that off. Sure it's about money with many of the women, but I just don't think a woman can do what he does socially no matter how much money she has. It is what it is.The rules of the game are women go for money and power and guys go for looks.

If a woman has a good body a man doesn't care where she works or what material assets she may have yet a woman can meet a decent looking guy and find out he works in fast food (to him it may be temporary) and he will get a wrong number from her. Yes even if she is a "independent woman". At some point peeople just need to keep it real. That's the way it is. Dating is just that, it's dating. Dating and having a relationship are two different animals.

Not so sure how happy Hugh is as I have never spoken to him. What I see on TV is just that. He is an old man losing to gravity also. I see him differently than you do. I see him as a lonely old guy. Maybe he wants it that way, who knows. I hope he is happy.

We know how it is out there. I prefer to think that there are many people who do not fall in your category. I don't care about the others. I think it is sad.
