Oh no. The noise inside the plane is toxic. Usually babies crying or people coughing. Blech. Someone should call their senator about it.

Congratulations, it passed quicker than I thought it would. Now let's see what happens when the rubber meets the road. Below is the bill. So they will "study" till 2022. Then debate the findings, then decide what they might want to do. I have said all along that it will take a long time to get anything changed. In as much as you live in a flight path there is really not a whole lot that can be changed. Even if the jets are quieter, that is a relative term.

AN ACT to direct the department of environmental conservation, with the
assistance of the department of transportation, to conduct a study on
the environmental and human health impacts of John F. Kennedy interna-
tional airport and LaGuardia airport
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
bly, do enact as follows:

2 assistance of the department of transportation, shall conduct a study
3 describing the environmental, noise, and human health impacts caused by
4 runways, including new runways, and air traffic at John F. Kennedy
5 international airport and LaGuardia airport. In conducting this study,
6 the department, with the assistance of the department of transportation,
7 shall monitor actual noise levels experienced in 2020 and 2021 and shall
8 pay particular attention to the impact of air pollution, noise
9 pollution, the emission of gases and fluids by aircraft, and similar
10 factors on the quality of life, health, and property values of persons
11 who live adjacent to flight paths used by aircraft at John F. Kennedy
12 international airport and LaGuardia airport. The department shall deliv-
13 er a written report of its findings to the governor and the legislature
14 on or before March 31, 2022.
15 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
