Is it true you are clear of re-contracting Covid for only 3 months after having it? This is what a friend had said their doc told them while recovering.

Documented reinfections are rare. It will take time to know when people might become susceptible again, but so far it appears not less than six months.

Looks like the incoming Biden administration is setting a really low bar. Be prepared for at least 6 more months of shutdowns...

I can also see distribution priority being shifted to low income/undocumented communities.

You can be certain the powerful folks who make those sorts of decisions will get themselves an early vaccine.

Just as the powerful folks who make the lockdown decisions simply ignore the rules. (Dr Birx being the latest.... https://nypost.com/2020/12/20/birx-w...avel-warnings/ )

At the same time, can anyone be surprised when the incoming Dems justify the most awful programs and decisions by claiming to be ‘combatting systemic racism’ or ‘seeking justice for the marginalized communities’ ? Just a rhetorical trick to put those who object to the awful programs and decisions on the side of racists, etc.

Is this the latest right wing talking point? Second time I've heard it now (coincidentally the first time was a video of a person also from Georgia).

It seems like the nay-sayers to getting the vaccine are confident in their choice.

.....but I wonder if they were fighting for their lives in ICU wishing, hoping for another breath of air to keep them alive, and wondering if they have the energy to gasp for another breath.....

would they think........................... I shouldn't have been so mistrusting. I did this to myself.
.
.
.
(and all of the people I might have convinced to forego taking the vaccine might be just as sick or worse, dead)
.
It seems unconscionable to break down and disqualify the very hope people need. Where is the valor in these people?

Very rare and even many of those “reinfections” could be a dormant virus that never went away and reactivated. The bottom line is no one really knows.

Actually it seems to be a left wing Cuomo talking point. As this is the LI forum Georgia doesn’t matter.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cuomo-v...n-federal-aid/

“We need to focus on Black, Brown, Asian and low-income communities that are historically underserved by the healthcare institutions that are key to the federal government's plan."

I have not seen anything yet that deprioritizes first responders and elderly as first in line, but when distribution gets to the general population how will NY allocate vaccines?

Identity politics. Love it.
Best thing to ever happen in this country.
Also love the red vs blue rhetoric. So inspiring.
