I guess when you are so used to seeing and hearing these career seasoned politicians that when you finally get a guy who isn’t one of them like in the case of Trump, it’s a little odd for people to get a grasp on it and make sense of it. I think we need more non-career politicians in office. Regular people who aren’t trained power seeking BS artists. They don’t understand or represent the majority of Americans. We need more average ordinary American citizens to step up if we really want change and to break the machine.
Remember the fiasco when Trump tried to build that restaurant at Jones Beach ?
That should have shown us what kind of "businessman" he is.

One should not mistake a reality TV star and a scrupulous con-man for a "businessman". Trump is as much a businessperson as Kim Kardashian is. Creating a fake brand and stamping it on everything doesn't take a lot of business savvy, you just need to be a narcissist with no shame. He is a celebrity.

Michael Bloomberg is an actual successful businessman, but also an arrogant weenie and egotist. The simple truth is that very few people who reach the levels of these type of people do have massive egos. "Regular people" are regular people usually for a reason..that's coming from a regular guy.

Indeed. We had 4 years of a businessman, like him or not, and we had low gas prices, energy independence, a substantial southern border, with miles of actual fence going up and illegal crossers being shipped back home, no insanely expensive "infrastructure deals", no Chinese sub sonic missiles being launched, just to mention the highlights, yet it all crashed in January, and the detractors are still deeply infected with "anti-Trumpism". Amazing, SICKLY amazing............

You mean low energy prices with no demand and a shut down economy …prices are still lower then they were more then a decade ago in many places.

If you want to try to credit a president with oil prices and the world economy then we had 25 A barrel under Biden too and 75 under trump in 2018.

I don't worry too much about "barrel" prices of oil, as much as I do worry about gas pricing at the pump. Gas, in case you haven't noticed, is up about $1.50/gal, if not a little more, since the beginning of the year. And Biden, not Trump, is in the WH.

Of course people see “Trump” and go off the deep end.
Re-read my post. Multiple times if necessary.

We had a glut of oil with lower demand well before Covid shut down the economy.
