It would be hypocrisy if you could point out a candidate who lied on his resume to the extent of Santos.
Instead in a desperate attempt they are resurrecting Blumental from over a decade ago as if that makes the case. Hey what about Blumenthal.
Pretty much why we end up with lousy politicians in office like Mangano and Steve Levy, you can always find a way to overlook lies if they are on your team.
I think folks might be making the point that if you were upset about Blumenthal's lies you're probably upset that Santos may have lied to his voters. Which is consistent.
Others simply accept the fact that pols and the press lie and exaggerate and then selectively trumpet the other side.
It appears Santos my be approaching Elizabeth Warren level in terms of public humiliation for the reported lies and I would expect some sort of blowback. Although not (in either case) a resignation.

It’s not about “on your team” it’s about the greater good. If his vote is important to killing the democrat agenda for the next 2 years then the fact that he’s an obvious liar takes a back seat. If the voters want to punish him he will get his comeuppance in 2024.

...as you (and like-minded individuals) define it. You (and like-minded individuals) do not hold a monopoly on what "the" greater good is. Nor do I, nor does any other voter.

Lol! No **** Sherlock! To me and like minded individuals it IS the greater good, which is all that matters to ME (and countless others). My version of greater good is probably your worst nightmare which is a good thing lol. I’m sure you have your own twisted version like getting high all day. Welcome to democracy

There's a nice word in the English language that summarizes "you and like minded individuals": team. As in...you overlook lies "on your team" for The Greater Good.
Which is fine. Just don't act like this isn't my team/your team behavior.
PS: I don't do drugs. And I also don't believe in legislating morality.
Much better article since the post is who he actually spoke to (and no paywall). Pretty much lied about everything as expected. Never went to college, dosent own properties, lives with sister in Huntington. Has no intention of resigning.
