I remember when the Dems really really wanted Republican Margorie Taylor Greene to resign. Can’t blame them for trying.

Lol it only made her more popular in her district. She won in a blowout landslide again.

It has been a victory for Dems though. Georgia has gone from a deep red state to a state that votes Democratic for president and has 2 Dem Senators. People like MTG have pushed the suburban Atlanta crowd away from the GOP. The northern suburbs of Atlanta used to bright red and now are very blue. What plays in rural GA does not play in the suburbs.

Only because of terrible candidates. Leftist icon Stacy Abrams still got crushed by Kemp, and the GOP still has a registration advantage. Walker was a trainwreck.

Be careful who you vote for. They can lie their way to congress.
Santos has 'lacked candor' on some many levels, I wonder if he's even a Republican. Probably a dem plant.

2 Dem senators, and the state went Biden by a whisker 2,473,63 to 2,461,854 but…

The Republican Party controls the offices of governor, secretary of state, attorney general, and both chambers of the state legislature in Georgia.

On another point…

Even some Dems are embarrassed by the Dem faux outrage over ‘voter suppression’ in the face of increased voting in Georgia lately.

Georgia doesn't actually register by party. With that said, I would argue Georgia is very much a swing state now (though an argument can be made that it is more of a swing state in federal elections and more GOP leaning on the state level)

As far as MTG goes and her landslide win, keep in mind in about 70% of the districts in the country (if not more) are pretty much safe for either party and Greene is in one of those.

Now getting back to the point on Santos, other than perhaps MTG & Gaetz, it doesn't seem like anyone in Congress wants anything to do with him (though I guess you could make an argument for McCarthy for his vote)

While I have no idea of the relative size of Santos’ friend group before and after his move to DC (nor any idea if reduction or growth makes him more or less apt to listen to the Dems and resign) I’d guess it doesn’t matter.

If Santos’ presence puts Dems in a faux frenzy or a frantic ‘look squirrel’ effort away from the big guy’s latest shenanigans it’s still hilarious.

You are right about GA, I should have said party estimates based on polling show GOP likely has a small advantage. And duh about Greene lol, of course she’s in a deep red area, never said she wasn’t. Agree GA is more of a swing state now on the federal level only (although I still believe it leans slightly red) and FL and OH are pretty much red states now.

Of course most of congress dosent want anything to do with him, he’s radioactive. But guess what? He dosent seem to care.
