Waffle House in Island Park[great waffles and funky hashbrowns!!....and the East Point Inn in East Rockaway[loved that old ship captains home and it was a crime they let it get torn down!!
Was it the bradford room or bradford house? I was young when Grants was around, there was one here in Smithtown.I remember the Bradford room or house was connected to Grants, you just had to walk right into it from Grants. They had the best hot dogs and cole slaw.
There was also a Ponderose in I guess it is Islandia? where hooters is,loved the buffet, they had Prego sauce for the spaghetti,it was the first time I had Preog,we are italian and always had homemade,or a real Italian restaurant,I am not ashamed to say I love Prego.
Does Nathan's still exist on LI aside from the locations in Deer Park on DPA and at The Arches Outlets? What about the one on 110?
There is a Nathan's on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma across the street from the Lake Rock Diner. There is also one in the Smithhaven Mall in Lake Grove. There are still some around.
The Rustler in Centereach was awesome. It was on the same plot of land that Denny's is on now.
Also miss Big Barry's.
Anyone remember Ponderosa? There was one where Ruby Tuesday's is in Selden.
I miss Ponderosa. A few years ago when I went to Orlando there was one next to mu Hotel. Guess where we ate most of the trip? LOL! Big Barry's was the best!
I remember the Rustler's in Massapequa. Does anyone remember these places: Chicken Delight in North Lindenhurst, Carlos' Pizza Oven in East Massapequa, Clark's Hamburgers in North Amityville, or Lakeside Inn in Montauk (early 80s)?
