Tell us how many homeless signed fraudulently so we can know what constitutes a “large proportion” in your mind.

Hundreds of homeless people who live on Skid Row — a notoriously poor section of the city — were offered $1 bills or cigarettes to forge other people’s signatures on voter registration forms and on petitions to get measures on the California state ballot, prosecutors said.

Hmmm. “Hundreds”, out of 55,000 in LA County ... constitutes “a large proportion”, eh?

Do you never feel silly about the false yarns you spin here?

Do you deny that every day in America all sorts of people commit fraud? To acknowledge that truth is not to condone it. But singling out the wretched homeless is speciously fraudlent in implication that fraud is not common behavior among the housed population as well.

You two need to find some unique villians to hound mercilessly. You could start in the White House. Emolument fraud comes to mind as quite specific to only one demographic. No homeless involved there.

Happy hunting!

How many Exitus? Can you put a number to that claim, was it 100 homeless who signed the petition, a thousand, eleven? Do you have any idea or did you just seize it as a talking point and now you are going to run with it?

Hey everybody, remember to stay out of the ocean for the next few days, because of all the filth that washed into our coastal waters due to the filthy people living on our streets. The bacteria can cause infections, and furthermore, who wants to swim in somebody else's tinkle and BM?

BTW, Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

Lol ... okay, how about now you tell the readers about what kinds of bacterial infections we can catch ... and how many swimmers has this happened to to date?

Frustrating isn’t it, bubba? Can’t get any of your false accusations to stick since I, and a couple others who know what we are talking about, decided to camp out on this thread for balance. Dang it

You know what some people would call posting false alarms and accusations to try to inflame response?

I’m at the beach now in Laguna, at the montage, walking off dinner.. I prefer looking at the water anyway. Good to know not to even think about putting my feet in there.

With Exitus and the Donald as your guides, how could you go wrong?

Personally, I took a nice drive along the coast from Morro Rock to Ragged Point, stopping to commune with the elephant seals near San Simeon a while. Then back to sail in the stiff breeze and those “filthy waters” in the Bay. Got kinda wet. Guess I’m a gonner now. By morning my flesh should be oozing and sliding off like mucus.

But meanwhile, it’s an organic turkey chili with avocados night!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice sail. I did an organic turkey too, plus much else. Happy Thanksgiving.

Heard the announcement on KABC this morning that L.A. residents are advised to stay out of the water -- it's a citywide health alert that probably came directly from city hall. I guess you didn't hear it, though, since you can't hear L.A. radio way down in the boonies somewhere around San Diego.

Camping out in this thread and arguing with people like me probably isn't the best idea for you since you don't live here and you don't get all the information we actual residents get.

That's true about the advisory but I don't think that you understood the reason for the advisory, maybe this will clarify it.

Quote:
The Los Angeles County Health Officer advised residents planning to visit county beaches through the weekend to avoid swimming, surfing and playing in ocean waters around discharging storm drains, creeks, and rivers due to the recent rainfall.

Bacteria, debris, trash and other health hazards from city streets and mountain areas are likely to contaminate ocean waters and people who enter the ocean waters could become ill, according to the advisory, which will be in effect until 5 a.m. Sunday, Los Angeles County Health Officer Muntu Davis said.

The advisory could be extended depending on further rainfall, Davis said.

"Areas of the beach apart from discharging storm drains, creeks, and rivers are exempted from this advisory," he said. "Anybody who wants to go to other areas at the beach can still enjoy their beach outing."

That's a fairly normal warning after the first major rainstorm of the season.

Just watched the alert on KTLA just now. But of course, I get LA radio and TV.
