Currently here at, Aurora, ME..37F Degrees, Dew Point 37F..Winds NNW 9mph..

Wickedly Greasy (aka slippery), this morning! Called in to work this morning - with WTH (there is no way I'm coming in)! Turned around and returned home! Had an extra cup of coffee for ALL OF US!
Squirrel was out again..Gobbling everything in sight, until it was interrupted...Gross-Beaks and their family showed-up (they always notify their family in a destinctive WHINE), Blue Jay appreciating Squirrel's digging were out in appreciation. Chickadees flitted and reminded the ENTIRE FLOCK..FOODS ON...It was amusing to say the least!
Muscles sore from packing EVERYBODY'S desire in the bakery...
It's ok...BACK at it tomorrow (until Beloved's business provides for more)!
STILL, love being here with you (STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU)!

This is only the third time we have had 30 inches of snow by the end of November (in Caribou).

But in both of the previous years, the total for the winter ended up being pretty close to average.

Looks like a nice day for New England. Some clouds around but no precip! Amen.
Temps in the 30s mostly across Maine today. Enjoy.

Right. start of snow season to the date shown on graphic. Snow season starts July 1 ends June 30th. As far as the normal itself I believe they use a 30yr normal and not the entire history of snow.

To see current snowpack across U.S you can use this link. https://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/nsa/inde...gion=Northeast

I was curious about Maine so I checked the current snow depth on ground..

Another cool link to keep for the winter file.

Looks like very little at the coast and up towards Bangor.
1 foot + on ground in NorthWestern part of state.

I believe they use Satellite and Ground Reports to fill in the gaps on the map. You'll have to contact them to get more info.
