I would have come even without the lure of coffee and donuts(though that doesn't hurt). I solemnly swear that once I arrive in Eastport, I will be very civically(is this a word?) involved!

Ok, don't confuse me! I see JollyFatGuy, automatically thinking of Santa Clause.......then you blind-side me with visions of Mr. Rogers!

I need to catch up with this thread to see if you're already IN Eastport or headed that way.

heading that-a-way ... any reason santa can't hang in the hood? that profile pic is honest to goodness me - that's my winter outfit ; in the summer it's the bus and hawaiian shirts if I'm not in the boat fishing ... I just can't figure out if you finally sold your house or not?

here's a real question ... on another thread "Upcoming trip- specific questions", the person asks if the road is clear from Lubec to W. Quoddy ... looking at maps (Google), there's water in way; how can you drive from Lubec to Quoddy without driving on 189 to 1 to 190? Is there a bridge somewhere I can't see?

Nope - if you want to go from Lubec to Eastport and you don't plan to go by boat - then you have to go 189 to 1 to 190.
