msRB posted a McMansion in Duxbury for 920k in 2019...and that was cherrypicked (for high price). Your friend could have easily found a very nice large house in Duxbury in 2019 in the 700-800k range that you mentioned earlier. She likely chose Marshfield because she got more bang for the buck.

matrix is omitting details when saying his friend couldn't find a nice house in Duxbury for 700-800k in 2019.

Nah this friend was a DINK couple at the time. They have two kids now. Zillow only lets me search for the past 36 mo, not sure how to search for 2019.

A 1962-build 4/2.5 2,293 sf colonial on almost an acre with vintage kitchen & baths. 7 foot ceilings. Oil baseboard heat. Transacted for $755k in 2019. Lots of wallpaper. That’s a dumpster in the driveway for 9 months before you move in house.
