He was...I'm just saying it would have been nice if he was in jail rather than on house arrest still able to kill someone while wearing an ankle bracelet. Could have saved the life of his wife and some trouble for his kids. Coulda woulda shoulda.

I don't understand why he wasn't in prison yet either - he pleaded guilty Spring 2021, why in the world was he still free nearly 2 years later

This is the world we live in today.

The guy who killed the elderly couple in Marshfield should have been in jail too.

I hadn't heard of this story before ... there a lot of folks with blood on their hands. In many other states Latanowich would have been serving a long, well deserved, prison sentence before he had the chance to murder Officer Gannon

MA seems to have this attitude that jail is not the place for people or there's too many people in jail, it's too expensive. The alternative seems to be that by not putting these people in jail they continue to wreak havoc on society.

Meanwhile, our incarcerated population is at a multi-decade low. We closed Walpole (good riddance), but should have been planning to replace it.
