The things that have come out - the bloody knife, the hacksaw, the cleaning supplies, the internet searches for how to dismember a woman... it's more than a murder, this is a very disturbing case and the guy is a monster.

Yeah it seems like maybe she was planning to leave him and he found out. I heard her place in DC had bedrooms for her kids all ready. On the other end that could have been because he was going to jail and she'd have no choice but to take the kids to DC with her.

There's also this note she apparently gave to her husband on NYE on a champagne bottle:

Default re

there's been like 2 or 3 other cases just this past week of men killing their wives and kids. Really sick.

It's that time of year, unfortunately. After a lot of together alone time during the holidays for many people, the end of the traditional holidays period can trigger both mental health crises and exacerbate existing relationship issues.

If Ana was trying to leave, the period of time when you are trying to get out is the most dangerous. Maybe he found out, snapped, and then panicked and didn't bother to try to cover his tracks.

The police 110% know way more than what they can release.

I wouldn't read too much into the kids going to foster care. Ana's family all lives in other countries, which adds complications. The sister in Toronto would be the best bet, but who knows what her situation is like and even if she had the space (as in not living in a 1-2 bed apartment in Toronto) and capacity to take 3 kids under 6 it would take time to get them to her. Friends may be willing to step up but they would need to be cleared as foster parents first. There may be an expedited process, but at best that's looking like weeks if not months.

Mr Walshe is now facing murder charges, which is a relief... Hopefully they are building an airtight case against him, and without technical mistakes which could allow him to wriggle out.

Good to hear - the more I read about this guy, the more I hate him...Two different Cohasset families with kids similar ages have offered to take the Walshe children to no avail - I feel awful for those boys

These things don't get settled quickly, so I imagine it will take some time, but I hope that they will find a home with a loving, compassionate family. Who knows what they know - hopefully nothing, of what has happened between their father and their mother.

I was wondering the same. Anyone else watching his arraignment? What a horrible human being. Evil but not a genius. Thankfully.

I watched. It's been pretty obvious since the beginning that he did it. Sick google searches, sick guy. So hard to understand why people choose this route instead of just walking away or letting the other person walk away.
