There's a lot of snow in CT. NWS is saying "Rain changes to snow in Boston by noon."

Naming the storms makes them sound more important. So annoying.

Anyone remember who used to call them "Weather Clowns"?

Yeah, I blame the schools for being trigger happy. Forecasts have always been uncertain, and if anything, have only improved. Way back when I was in school, it seems like superintendents used to wait till 5 am or so to make cancellation / delay calls for the coming day!

I just had a call with my co worker who's superintendent is from MN originally and he never cancels school...but he did last night...and now there's no snow, lol.

yes i remember school being cancelled in the morning...sometimes if it was snowing a lot by 8pm or something maybe the call would be made and we'd have to turn on the TV or listen to the radio to find out..now I think the complaining parents on facebook who need to know NOW help in triggering the cancellations. I'm not sure why people can't just wait until morning anymore. Now there's just a bunch of kids hanging out at home.

Watching it rain. At least if it was snowing the kids would be outside and I could work in peace.

Oh well...at least nothing to clean up and deal with after

I'm in RI watching big flakes fall on top of the 4-5 inches of heavy wet stuff we already have. We moved here looking for more space. We got it. I'm reminded of that as I shovel the driveway, the walkway, the back deck and the sidewalk. I'm sure my body will remind me tomorrow.

I am in Medway, Franklin, Holliston area. Large flakes, very little accumulations, but there are some. Less than inch. It should end at 3 pm. I do not expect anything major. I was expecting this.

It started snowing here almost exactly when the late night and early morning forecasts predicted (11am). Currently about a half inch, maybe close to an inch. I expect 4 inches when all is said and done.

Boston can still get an inch of snow in early afternoon. In Worcester is stopping as I speak, I would say 1 to 1 1/2in accumulation.

The storm was definitely a bust. I think it's always in the cards when we are hovering around freezing T.
I am not annoyed at meteorology per-se but I am annoyed at newscaster that need to push this stuff all the time. Clearly extreme weather sell well.
