Well, after 20 years of being loyal clients of State Farm Casualty Insurance, they have notified us that they will not renew our policy as of
May 2011 "as part of a reduction of State Farm Florida's hurricane exposure". Our property taxes increased $400 this year although our property value dropped and as of Monday my wife is one of the 12% unemployed in Florida. Nice.

^^ . Welcome to the club. We were dropped this year too. The insurance company we work with didn't bother to find another company and automatically set us for for Citizen's, same reason, they no longer service the area, Translation: we got your money, buh-bye. Our insurance premium dropped so that's the silver lining.

State Farm said they'll work in finding us another insurance company. Who knows what our premium will be. We are Miami natives practically (living here for 41 years) but it's getting harder and harder to live in Miami. I just can't see us living here another 5 years.

I empathize with you all, and I'm in the same boat, so to speak, but you can't really say that State Farm got your money and said bye. I assume they did provide coverage during the time you were their customer.
