Just when I thought the weather could not get any worse it started raining and there is also another cold front for Monday, temperatures will drop to the 30's.

Another year with ugly vegetation. I've seen a lot of irrigation in the Redlands but the common people are not watering their trees or plants for these cold nights

I agree! I wish this type of temperatures were common here in Miami this time of year every year.

Last year was the coldest on record for over 20 years. We also had a record breaking summer topping 95 at times. I am in Afghanistan where over the last 5 years it has snowed less and less. I believe that climate change is working its magic.

I remember 10 years ago the winters were 75-80 degrees all winter long Bring back the humidity I say!!!

Where can I get a good electric heater? Or electric blanket? Or should I go back to wearing my coat around the house like we used to up north because of the price of heating oil?
Wimp.

Just kidding.... a little...

Why would anyone want to live in Miami if they love the cold??? 99% of the country gets cold weather regularly in varying forms, so why come to one of the few spots that doesn't have it? I don't get that.

I am a heat lover so I am content in South Florida, but I find the persistent cold fronts pesky. I like the refreshing 70s in winter, but highs in the 50s? Atlanta can have that kind of weather! Who needs dry skin and static shocks lol. When watching the new you see the anchors brimming with joy when the weathermen talk about cold fronts...but if you watch the news in NYC or Chicago they are thrilled when a warm spell comes. I guess people just like what they can't usually have???

This year with the early cold snap I gave out and bought a space heater at Wal Mart for 25 bucks. I was reluctant because you always hear of people's houses burning down with them...but the new ones have automatic turn offs if they overheat and if you follow directions they aren't too dangerous if used properly. Plus they work well and you can go back to typing without having cold fingers lol.

I think the bolded is exactly it. Just like northerners will come down here for a week in the winter, probably talk about how they wish they didn't have to go back to the freezing cold, etc. Yet some of those same people relocate to warmer parts of the country and proceed to complain about the consistent heat, lack of seasons, etc. It's nice to have an occasional respite from the everyday--I've lived in the opposite and will gladly take the awful summer heat over scraping ice off the car each morning and having to bundle up every time I need to just run a quick errand.

I do too, I think it helps to everyone in more of a holiday spirit. When it's 80 degrees outside, people don't seem to get in the holiday spirit as much.

Thank you. I absolutely hate people that live in FLorida Period that when it gets cold they say ..I love the cold, this is perfect Blah Blah LOL. It just boggles my mind, but I have to remember 98% of them are not natives to this state that like the 70's and 80's during winter. But those space heaters can be pretty dangerous.
