Most people had no problem. The media only focuses on those who hate America first and blame America first.

Moderator cut: deleted quote

France has military parade down for Bastille Day. UK has military in its Armed Forces Day. Estonia had a parade with US and UK military equipment and troops.

It is pretty amazing how some people can think having military equipment in a parade is a negative thing. As I previously posted, even my small, podunk town had a SPG and some large military trucks from the National Guard for its 4th of July parade, and this was 30 years ago.

But Trump has it, the damn world is ending for some people, lol.

Journalism is the basis for our democracy, without it you wouldn't have the freedom of the first amendment to post here on CD.

Washington Prepares for a July 4 Spectacle, Starring and Produced by President Trump...
The audience for Mr. Trump’s speech will include thousands of troops assembled by the White House to create a made-for-television moment in which the nation’s commander in chief is surrounded by the forces that he leads.

We don't have any journalists anymore, we have a media that is nothing more that the propaganda arm of the DNC. Objective journalism, for the most part, died a long time ago. As for the First Amendment, what it does is affirm our inalienable right to free speech, for one. It has nothing to do with journalism and journalists specifically. It applies to them just as it does to anyone else. And we are not a democracy, our country is a federal republic.

FYI: Democratic republic. A democratic republic is a form of government operating on principles adopted from a republic and a democracy. Rather than being a cross between two entirely separate systems, democratic republics may function on principles shared by both republics and democracies.

Wake up and smell the roses, it's been this way for years. Ignorance is no excuse.
The definition of democracy is a form of government in which the common people hold political power and can rule either directly or through elected representatives.

The event used recruiting funding. These are the same funds used to put on air shows, static displays, fund the Blue Angels and Thunderbird flying teams. This was an excellent use of these funds and an awesome service by the Commander in Chief. He talked about military history and the proud heritage of our armed services and even asked attendees and observers to join the military. Young people respond to this kind of leadership and recruitment pitch. Many will join because of it and some will make tremendous contributions to our country, have stellar careers and incredible lives of military/government service because of our President's event and speech on this past 4th of July.

This was a very well formatted event and concept. I am retired AF (34 years Active and Reserve) and retired Dept of the Army Civilian employee.
