I love real Mexcian food and spend a lot of time in Phoenix and Las Vegas trying out different Mexican taco stands. Adelitas will fit your desire for a sit down Mexican joint. Order a glass of Horchata it is very good. They also have a bakery at Central and 43rd or 44th ave next to Chets Shoes it is the best Mexican Bakery in the metro.
The place looks like it has potential so we'll definitely check it out. The Spanish/English menu on the website already won some points with me, but there was also some stuff on there that drew red flags for Authentic Mexican food. They serve chimichangas, burritos and fajitas which are all tex-mex. You won't see any of those served in what I would consider REAL AND UN-AMERICANIZED Mexican restaurants.

Sometimes you have to cover all the bases. Thier real Mexican food is real though. Hey I am real picky about Mexican food, more so than most, and it is good. I have seen numeroues Hispanics eating there in the trips I have made there.

I love Pancho Villas (if you bring 8 people in your party for your Birthday you get 7 free drinks of anything you want! and also, despite the bad reviews of Little Tijuana, I like it. Have been going there since I was little.

El Loro is delicious! I'm from Southern California and El Loro beats most of my California faves. There are several location throughout the cities (suburbs). Also Rey Azteca (and El Azteca?) have the same menu (and taste!) as El Loro and I think they are all owned by the same family. I eat there at least once a week and have yet to meet anyone who wasn't happy with a meal there (unless they're not Mexican food fans). Super fast service too!

I've never been to El Loro but am very skeptical. I'll make an effort to get out to one and we'll see if it lives up to its hype.

Slig: I wouldn't call El Loro "authentic" (like what you'd find in Mexico City)....I just enjoy it as do all my friends. My personal favorite. When chatting with the very friendly staff , they are all mostly from Mexico (but that doesn't mean they keep with an authentic menu). You should check out all the suggestions and post an update!

I like Pancho Villas, but now I'm inspired to go check out Adelita's since I live in NE.

We went to Guayaquil last night, it's Ecuadorian but they also serve Mexican dishes and beers. Anyway, we both thought the food was excellent. Two thumbs up.
