My interview was March 10. I didn't get any notifications about my background check. I was contacted on April 15 to schedule a physical and functional test (about another 4 hours in Tupelo), went April 20 for those and was contacted today welcoming me to Toyota. Report to work on June 6. I hope the best for all trying to get on. I truly understand the anxiety of waiting as I have been without full time work for a year. Keep your faith in yourself and push the anxiety down.

Does anyone know if it depends on where they will place you in the plant as to when your start date with them will be because some people are starting b4 others and some later even if one person started before or later than the other.

I would think so, because they are hiring the team leaders first, so they can train the team members. Then hiring people that are doing the body and paint etc.. That is the way I'm seeing it. maybe

That is a hard question to answer if you are not already working there

Thank you everyone for the congrats. I truly appreciate it. When I went for physical I also went through a functional test. I was told that this is not a pass/fail test. It is to determine your strengths and weaknesses so that you can best be placed where you will have the best chance for success. There were strength measurements (arms, legs, shoulders and back), there were hand-eye coordination tests, cardio, balance, grip and pinch measurements (also done in physical but for different reasons). They are not necessarily telling people what they will be doing. They have a well tested process of hiring and know exactly what they are doing. You may not understand it but you really do not have to. Be grateful for the opportunity and their interest in you to this point. Stay strong and good things will happen for you.
