Okay

School is going great so far! It's only our 3rd day and we are already getting ready for quizzes! I have 2 tomorrow. Algebra 2 and Integrated Chemistry-Physics.

Anybody see any shooting stars? I stepped outside a few times tonight and saw one both times within seconds of looking up. They were right about that meteor shower!!

I missed it. We live in a valley surrounded by tall trees. May try again this evening.

I live on the prairielands. Good for stargazing, but lots of windy days.

HI MoNative...well I didn't get to see any shooting stars, however I saw something even better (to me that is) We knew that our eldest son was driving to MO to visit us. When he got here about an hour ago, he called us outside to 'see' the shooting stars. So I got my DH up from his recliner and outdoors we went. We talked for maybe 90 seconds and then the passenger side door of his van opened and out came our youngest son!!!!! Talk about a surprise....I almost fell backwards I was so excited to see them both. didn't know whether to laugh or cry it was so great to see them both. So, yep, I did get to see two 'stars'.

Nomad...that is great. This was such a wonderful surprise,. The youngest just went to be....Fla. time!!! He will be here for 5 days and our eldest is leaving Sunday for their home east. I know you will have a warm and wonderful time with your boys. Take lots of pictures and set aside time to just listen to them talk with each other. I just did that with our 2 and such fun. Love to hear them.....

Default Kids...

Hi everyone! Glad for those getting their kids back, my oldest just joined the navy. Lotsa people signing up these days, I guess.

Having a great summer overall down here at the lower lake. Business has been picking up and overall life is good. 'Cept I had to say goodbye to my little best friend of 14 years yesterday. Boy that was hard! I had to put her out of her misery, but mine will take a while. What is it about waking up to a purring furry friend? The house seems so quiet.

Have a great weekend, all!

LJ...I'm very sorry about your fur baby. We had to do the same to ours many years ago and I guess the vet knew how hard it was, they sent me a sympathy card that week. Please take care and you just may find a new fur baby to keep you company. Our youngest was in the Navy a few years ago. Hard at first for them to leave home and you worry so much about them. But I just bet that yours will do fine with you as the MOM. You're the best.
