Looks like the Civic Center Redevelopment is moving forward, the developers have requested for a special zoning district for the property
would be awesome if the company with the contract did the same thing they did in Kansas City with that project , but i doubt the budget is anywhere near that .

An office building?! https://www.facebook.com/10090878591...XFdqzv5scKixl/

I wonder how tall we could use another 300 footer maybe 400. Looking at the site it has room for what ever plans they have for the arena and a new office tower.

The following is a picture of a rendering provided by CBRE to show what the future Cordish Cos. project would look like at the Mobile Civic Center site.

Cordish development
But there seems to be less enthusiasm for previous plans to redevelop the 22-acre Civic Center property into a multi-purpose sports and entertainment district developed by Baltimore-based Cordish Co. The company was once under consideration for a Live! entertainment district that would include restaurants and sports-themed bars.
since the updates is behind a paywall, idk what to make of this.

I could be connected to that in the future if the whole removal of the Water Street loop actually happens with the new i-10 bridge
