The annexation resolutions for all 4 areas passed the council unanimously today. The actual votes will take place over summer.

Next Tuesday, the City Council will "first read" two new agreements:

- An agreement to assist Airbus in the financing and construction of Airbus' third assembly line (this one is for A320s) (~1,000 new jobs)
- An agreement to assist VT in the financing and construction of an expansion of VT Mobile's facility to include a new area for the conversion of Airbus passenger aircraft into cargo aircraft (~200 new jobs)

AIRBUS IS LITERALLY taking over Mobile County and I'm here for it. I know this is a stretch but it would be nice to see them invest into downtown by building a midrise office tower.

Well, looks like the mall's property owner is nearing the end of squeezing every last bit out of juice of the mall. Parts of the mall need to be torn down and site needs to be redeveloped into a mixed use center. Anchors can stay as most of them own their own property.
