Do you guys think Clark County Alabama may be added to the CSA ? Last I checked they were like 3 % away from the mark.

Can't be a CSA until the become a micropolitan area which requires an Urban Area of 10,000+. Right Now the census has 2 urban areas in Clarke County; the Jackson Urban Area with 3,000 people and the Thomasville Urban Area with 3,300 People

Another successful month for the Mobile economy. Mobile County alone added 5,400 jobs between May 2022 to May 2023, the second most of any county besides Madison County. Mobile County’s workforce added 2,800 people; again, the second most of any county behind Madison. The workforce in the City of Mobile grew by 1200

Mobile-Baldwin added a total of 8,000 jobs and workforce grew by 4,200. Only the Huntsville area added more jobs. Mobile County’s YoY job growth is 2.9% and Baldwin County’s is 3.0%

The last time Mobile County added 5,400 jobs in a single year (in April) was in 1997

At the Paris Air Show, IndiGo, an Indian airline, is said to be buying about 500 jets from Airbus. This is from a local television newscast. That purchase would almost have to positively impact the Mobile economy.

About time, my guess is that it will be the hospitality/retail for the Airport. Doubtful they would try to put manufacturing on that side of the interstate
