Well took Dutch to the vet today. Didn't have have x-rays for him to go "Yup- she's gonna have some pups soon", lol. Took a picture and the vet counted 9!

Of course he said, "Well- that's what I can count. So possibly 11, but then again could be 7". I said "Well in that case is my x-ray bill $75, or maybe could be $50?

So looks like we will have some house guests from the first week of January to March!

What vet do you use? that's a durn clear xray if you can actually count pups.

'Sides, I'm always open to another vet. 'Specially one that don't charge an arm, a leg, and three teeth.

(My old ones from Bozeman are mostly gone and who's left are now WAAAAAY too expensive. $1000 for a C-section, and that's the cow vet. Cripes, that more than double what it was in Boise, and that was too much. -- Over the past 20 years vet charges have gone up at around 20x the rate of inflation, for which you can largely thank pet insurance.)

I've got some real nice Lab pups here myself, in fact probably old Windy's best pups. Got a male who's a clear throwback to great-great-great-great grandpa Brill. Five weeks old and he's already flat decided he's my dog and who needs mom anyway?!

Apex on N. Montana. Vet is Matt. Great guy. He has a GSP and he also hunts with a falcon.
