It's actually pretty good. Oh, the special effects in the sword fights may not be the best but it kept me wrapped up in it for 90 minutes, even though I got into the movie 40 minutes late. That is, the first movie I was watching was "King Arthur: The Young Warlord" and I thought it might be "Arthur of the Britons" as an extra movie to the series. It didn't appear to be but rather a bunch of episodes strung together with narration and since I have the series and don't want to ruin my enjoyment of it, I turned away.
One of the leading ladies in this flick is Carys Eleri. She may pose a striking resemblance to Jennie Ketcham but it isn't. One of Pict mounted Amazons looks like Louise Jameson (Leela) but, of course, the years are wrong and it is not. Little tidbits here and there to thrill the viewer.
The movie isn't quite slow but it barely gets into running energy.......but it does get there. It's no first run theatre flick but it is fun. Say an 8.0.
And for the life of me, I cannot understand why nobody else seems to have ever seen this film.
Numerous possibilities. First of all, perhaps it just wasn't advertised. Secondly, armed robbery by a military unit movies is a roll of the dice reception. It might go over great like Kelly's Heroes, it might hit a sour note like the back story to the Snow Garrison Special Demolition Unit in The Gun on Ice Planet Zero. On that same note, it might depend on what the current public impression of the military is...heroes & warriors or self serving, selfish jerks? Next, it is outside the realm of a standard war movie. I only saw The Resistance Banker because a brother put it on the TV for me.
The Little Things. Movie got mixed reviews but I liked it.
At first I wasn't sure exactly what was going on but the ending tied everything up for me (even as it was meant to be ambiguous, I took it exactly how it was shown without overthinking it).
Jared Leto gives another one of his magnetic and creepy performances, he's probably one of the main reasons why I liked the movie.

Yeah, I can't even quite tell how he does it. His character was creepy, but he also had sort of a dorky, goofy aspect going on. As I said, I don't know how he pulled it off.
