The Glass Castle. It's a good movie, got me into laughter as well as tears in the end..

Great acting Woody Harrelson and especially Naomi Watts.

Have you read the book? I thought the book was fantastic and was very disappointed with the movie.

My most recent movie was Captain Underpants. Again. I have a 1st and 2nd grader. Don't judge.

Hey I go to at least 1 first-run movie a week and sometimes as many as 3 or 4-
Retired and love movies---
I thought "Captain Underpants" was one of the top 10 movies of 2017-
It was great so you don't have to apologize for seeing it...

Captain Underpants for me, too, plus Pitch Perfect 3. It was not a particularly intellectual week.

Call Me by your Name (2017), Luca Guadagnino 5/5
Everything about this was great, loved the new Sufjan Stevens songs.

I'll answer with the last two movies I watched on back to back nights.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017). I enjoyed this movie way more than I thought I would because of the reviews I saw.

Whatever Works (2009). I've always seemed to stay away from Woody Allen movies (write, director), but this movie I also enjoyed.

No I haven't read the book, but the movie really moved me in an unexpected way.

Saw "All the Money in the World"
Wahlberg wasn't worth that million
Action star w/o any action
Can't do irony really and part was full of it
Williams, on the other hand, can do anything
Remembered the gist of the story
Closer investigation showed screenplay was very much more fiction than fact
Yes he was kidnapped and treated horribly before a ransom was paid and Paul 3 was released
But
Spoiler
Getty's death at that time didnt happen. Gale wasn't running the Getty Trust. Gordon Getty, brother to Paul 2, did. But they were a terribly blighted family

This is not a movie I would choose to rewatch but I wwnted to see Plummer
He was very good and a better physical match but Spacey has that oily evilness that likely would have made Getty even more disagreeable
I thought much of what Getty said n did was gamesmanship
But the final meeting between him and Gale -- was obviously meant to seal his epic selfishness

Scott has done better movies
So have Williams and even Wahlburg
Lot of tension, even tho we know the result, but not up to "classis/keeper"
I would not have thought Scott worthy of GG nomination
W/o the contoversy this might have sunk wo a ripple
