Great list; I've seen a lot of the same bands. Funny, I was just going through my ticket stubs the other night remembering all of the great performances I've seen over the years.

Ok, here's my list; the majority of these shows took place in NYC where acts always bring their "A" game (and sometimes special guests). Some shows also in Detroit and Austin:

Squeeze/Hooters (first show in an arena, Nassau Coliseum) Saw Squeeze again many times over the years.
Kix/Whitesnake
Frank Black
Beastie Boys (twice, was at the show at MSG when the crowd filmed "Awesome...I F@# Shot That)
Guns N Roses/Metallica/Faith No More (Giants Stadium, we left after Metallica, wasn't waiting for Axl)
B52s
Faith No More x2
Fishbone x2
Luscious Jackson x2
Living Colour (multiple times, in a movie theatre, a gymnasium, etc.)
Sting
Bon Jovi/Skid Row
Lollapalooza 91, 92, 94
Ice T and Body Count (was so impressed with their Lollapalooza set, saw them solo. Great show)
Rush x2
INXS x2
Grateful Dead x2
Boston
Fleetwood Mac
BIS
R.E.M. x2
The Cult x2 (the show at the Coliseum was the loudest show. Ever.)
Blake Babies
Joe Jackson Band (x2, 2003 reunion, great shows)
The Replacements x2
Paul Westerberg, solo x2. Proposed to my wife at the show in Ann Arbor.
The Cure/Love and Rockets/Pixies (Giants Stadium, memorable)
Depeche Mode/OMD
APB (Scottish Band at the Lobster a go-go, East Hampton)
Judas Priest/Dokken
Pixies, solo x2
Blur x2 (Bowie was at the Roseland show, seated in the balcony behind me, surreal)
G. Love and Special Sauce x2
Red Hot Chili Peppers x2
Stone Temple Pilots
NRBQ
Velvet Revolver
Ozzfest, many years in a row
Santana
Duran Duran
Green Day
Jimmy Buffett
Furthur Fest
Area 2 Fest (Moby, etc)
Juliana Hatfield x3
Beck x2, great shows
Horde Fest
Crowded House
Sonic Youth
Fountains of Wayne x2
The Fixx
Deee Lite (in a movie theatre)
Primus (sucks)
Gnarls Barkley
moe
Supergrass (RIP)
U2 (at Madison Square Garden, one month after 9/11. The most emotional concert ever)

Not that many!

James Brown twice (as a kid and in college)
Ray Charles in high school
SWV in high school
Backstreet Boys in high school (it was $10 and before they got big. I wish I could have found my autograph, but I think my parents trashed it when we moved!)
Prince twice (college and about 2 years ago. LArry Graham was at both shows, Santana was at the first and Sheila E was at the second one)
George Clinton and some incarnation of Funkadelic + Cypress Hill + Erykah Badu + The Roots + Pharcyde (in college)
John Legend (3X, he is a great performer. Worth a visit for sure, I saw hime one of those times with Corrine Bailey Rae)
Hugh Masakela (a couple of years ago, amazing!!!!!)
Mos Def (he was too high to remember the words. #fail)
Lauryn Hill (in college she was amazing, and Santana showed up. A few years ago, she sucked and she was too high to perform)
Sheila E and her family (such a fun concert a few years ago)
Ludacris (um don't ask, I was supporting my intern's event)
Ozomatli (amazing performers!!!!)
Goapele (she is a really good performer!)
Missy Elliot + Beyonce + Alicia Keys (I remember looking forward to Missy and Alicia, but Beyonce stole the show, and I don't even like her!)
Bomba Estereo (at a festival, they were a blast!)
Elle Varner (very very good for a new artist)
Esperanza Spaulding (loved her! She is a great performer, and her band was awesome)
Mary J Blige (surprisingly good, it was a very fun show)
Jill Scott (excellent performer, I have seen her twice)
Gap Band/Charlie Wilson + Chaka Khan + Teena Marie + Frankie Beverly (one of those mass soul concerts)

This is about it! I can't think of anything I am forgetting. Some random local bands here and there.

Sadly, I have yet to see two of my long-term favorite bands: Jamiroquai and Brand New Heavies. I have liked them for over 20 years at this point, but no dice. I am just going to have to travel abroad to see these two!!!

That's their slogan, Primus sucks lol. They were great. Buckethead opened up.

The first time I saw the Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam opened. SP and PJ were unknown at that point, Pearl Jam were handing out free cassettes!
