It would be nice if the media gave the higher level of coverage of the half-staff orders for the military. but since we're so desensitized to war now, maybe they know people will just gloss right past it. there was a great guest on Bill Maher's show recently, can't remember his name, but they were talking about journalists and how there are very few 'reporters' who report on the realities of war, like they did during Vietnam. I'm not sure if it's that Americans don't want to hear/see it, or if reporters just don't care to do it, or if the large companies who own the fews "news outlets" that still exist don't believe it will help sell their product.

I was wondering where the 'outrage' was though about Gandolfini's order, because i remember the outrage over Houston's.

Unfortunately after the longest and most futile wars in US history American has become desensitized. Yes Obama is at fault too for escalating it, but it's time for an end. There will never be victory over there!!!!!!!
