Oh my God. I woke up this morning from a terrible dream of broken glass and chunks of stuff flying at my head and thought "something bad is going to happen". Shook it off until I just saw this.
I came through Hoboken Terminal for decades. No longer work in Manhattan. Damn. This is bad.
I knew something like this would happen one day because the tracks and station is too close together. Surprise when they rebuilt the station they never thought of one day a malfunction of the train could result in something like this.
Well Hoboken folks better find other means to get around.
Hopefully no one is seriously hurt. Our train system in this state (and country in general) is terrible. Japan and other countries run much faster and more efficient trains with few serious issues. We seem to have crashes constantly.

Clearly, the problem is the result of too many government safety regulations in The US.

They ought to implement a 'no standing' policy, if seats are available. It isn't practical though. I wonder what is going to happen to everyone's commute now.
not confirmed, but someone at my office said it was the Passaic line
They say it was the Pascack Valley line.
