Yes. But moving to RV. Can't see myself relocating to another fixed location anytime soon when my kids moved out of the house

My parents did it in 1985~left NJ; the taxes, the crowds, the traffic etc. Left both of us, my brother in eastern PA and me in NJ.

Look in eastern PA or Delaware; huge difference in taxes, still close enough to visit frequently. You should live where you want to live, not where your children want you to live.

As in my case it's not where kids want us but where Grandma wants to be,big difference.

I know several situations where the parents moved far away and now 15-20 years later it is big trouble. They need family assistance and family is to far away.

Thank you all for your responses. We can't move to PA because my husband isn't licensed in his profession to work there. I am not from NJ so don't care to stay, my husband is from here but neither one of us wanted to come back to the high cost of housing/tax burden situation again, but here we are.

We will check into other suggestions like Delaware, etc. Thank you everyone!

One problem with DE that not all realtors will tell you. A 2% tax when you buy a home. A 2% tax when you sell it. That would make up for years and years of no sales tax for many of us. Also a special tax when you buy a car, I think 3.75% but not sure exactly. Got to do your math anywhere. Deep Google searches until the cows come home.

We stayed put and the kids all moved to various locations around the globe. I just thank God for Facetime! 🙏🏻 Our eldest daughter calls us almost every morning and we enjoy a sit-down breakfast with her and our youngest grandson. It makes our day! 😄

Love and All Good Things,

Mahrie. 🌹
