Exactly! It doesn't exist because there is no magic number to "reopen" safely. South Korea was a paragon of hope and then it only took one infected person to go to a nightclub and infect 50 other people. Even Wuhan has seen new cases again. This thing is boggling the best scientific minds.

35% are very worried and 23% are somewhat worried they’ll get laid off or have their hours or pay reduced because of the pandemic.

As these people start to lose their jobs over the coming months their approval will go down with it.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...ng/3108593001/

Dr Fauci's testimony at the senate panel gave a chilling warning to reopening. I'm all for slow re-openings in some areas but I'm not optimistic it would produce meaningful results. It would just result in more lockdowns and people getting infected.

There will always be someone that refuses to put on a mask inside a store. Asking people to put on masks or social distance is harder than stop smoking for some people. If a smoker can obey not smoking indoors, why can't people just put the mask on and move on.

What's gonna happen is that many places that re-opened, people will just gradually slip back to their old comfort zone of not hand washing or putting on masks where and when they are supposed to. The worst part is during the summer time people will assume that they didn't get infected and the infection rate will decline in the summer time but those who been infected at this time will have less immediate effects due to getting enough sun and having vitamin D. But once we head back to the fall and winter the virus will strike back with a vengeance. It is very good at hiding in the body.
