Except for the probable need for another 6 to 9 months of human trials that will be plenty of time for more spread/lockdowns and probability for yet other mutant variants forming, a real never ending loop I really hope we dont see!

Wonder if theres a way to "unregister" from the NJ state portal or other vaccine sites for those who have managed to receive one, so that those sites and any waiting lists know to skip those people. Was looking for and cant find that information online, perhaps the NJ central vaccine portal is somehow informed of when and who a vaccine is given to so the deregistration is automatic not sure.

Metrics are very good. Even without the vaccine, cases and hospitalizations are dropping rapidly. Supporting the theory that the holiday social behavior was a big reason for the spike. Parties, weddings, religious services, etc. are still good things to completely avoid until you are vaccinated and 6 weeks or so go by to maximize effect. Looks like late summer before we’ve really got this thing under control.

No. Once the technique is perfected you don’t need new trials. It will be like the yearly flu shot where they just change things on the fly with the basic technology in place. Tweak and deploy.

The problem is logistics. The virus spreads like wildfire, it doesn't matter how quickly the vaccine can be adapted we simply can't deliver it as quickly as the virus can spread because people just can't protect themselves properly.

Temporary problem. We’ll have that out of the way soon, probably by late summer early fall. Then it’s just routine maintenance. You’ll get your yearly flu shot. And a separate yearly or bi-yearly covid maintenance vaccine. Plus herd immunity will be in place. This is going to be nothing more than a bad memory in pretty short order.

Overall pretty good news. RT is down to .83! CVS is starting on 2/12, not 2/11. Stay tuned.

Then the FDA can and will be modified. They are already causing untold deaths with their bureaucratic delays and interference.

CVS and Rite Aid will provide COVID vaccines, and a number of NJ towns were identified as locations. Vaccines were to begin Thursday.
