Gang, somebody was recently discussing how the population % of Hispanics is quickly on the rise. I have a theoretical question...

IF someday (let's say, by 2050)...Hispanics are the MAJORITY of US residents...

...and Caucasians become the MINORITY...

SHOULD caucasian people be subject to affirmative action the way that minorities are now?

Bear in mind this is a theoretical question. I look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on this.

If they are a minority, I'd fail to see why not. However, I wonder if it would have to do with other factors... like presence in certain fields, etc.

Here's my latest point.. if a black man gets into office before a white woman..shouldn't we get our minority status back .

Keep in mind, females are considered minority also, so this is my answer, no, white males are the oppressor, And the Feds are "attempting" to right a wrong. Sounds like a very simple reply, because it is and it isn't any more complex than that.

The subject is and has been one of taboo. What i actually see as Hispanics/Asians become majority and caucasians minority is an INCREASE in the diversity movement and set-asides for Hispanics/Asians and not Caucasians. And many of those supporting this direction are caucasians themselves. Go figure?

It will get way out of control.

Good theoretical question. It depends on how much power caucausins as a "minority" would continue to weild polictically and economically speaking.
