My dad's british side has light hair and their skin burns easy in the sun and they despise the sun and heat (like cathy ..lol..)

From what I know I am the only person in my family that loves the cold temperatures.Alot of friends and people I know are like me. I really dont have a "side" because my entire family is German.

I tend to burn easy. I keep my "dislike" of the sun down to a humble and try to make peace with it

As for the heat I dont like I really dont like temperatures above 65. but as I said above I keem my dislike down to a humble and try my best to make peace with it.

Cathy - I spend the winters and summers in NM.... And I am hating this cold damp spring in IL. I have yet been able to get warm. Humidity - thats the reason RRR and I love NM.. none - well compaired to the midwest. Get me back there, its been raining all day.

Yep. People who have lived up there most of their lives are probably used to both the high humidity (0% in IN..??) and cold combined
I dont know if it has hit 0 before but I know it has gotten below 35% before.

I was just showing how varied humidity can be here.

Hey, now waitaminit, Harry!!

I love the sun....it's just that my favorite weather is sunny, dry and COLD. It doesn't get any better than that. That's probably why I love CO and northern NM, as that is often what it's like.

Well, come on back, girl....and bring some rain with you, OK? We did get some the other day, but we need a lot more!

It's really nice now....69 with 22% humidity.

The Big Bend area I just left....64, 13% (Fort Davis).

But you do have all of my sympathy. The Midwest is so cold and damp!! 37 degrees with 87% humidity? BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. That just penetrates to the bones. Wrap up in one of those quilts!

I burn, and then tan. I'm very dark-haired (silver now) and dark-eyed, but fair-skinned.

You can use olive oil as it protects the skin naturally from the sun's rays.

I didn't know that. If I ever get to the beach, I gotta try it.
Actually, last summer when I was out walking/hiking, I got burned without expecting it.

I've heard of oil parties too.
