Well yall should be happy since Tracage is going to be built, 1031 Canal is still moving forward, and there was the recently released proposal for a 21 story building at Canal and Tchoupitoulas.

I'm ecstatic. Wish they would have kept Tracage at 24 stories but I guess the 16 stories will do. How many stories will 1031 Canal be? And by the way hope the powers that be let the 21 story building on Canal be built at its current height.

Yeah, that whole fiasco about the Tracage was quite stupid. I think 1031 Canal is going to be 18 or 19 stories. We will see what happens with that 21 story building, there are some historic structures that are partially in the way that they want to demolish (which I would rather be saved).

It would nice if they can keep them in the design. Although I really want that crappy store gone.

Yeah me too, they need to bulldoze it if you asked me we have a gazillion historic buildings bulldozing one won't hurt. Also, I remember reading somewhere that location was supposed to be a buffalo wild wings but of course that never happened.

I don't care about that little store but I do want the other buildings saved. In a perfect situation, they would save those buildings and build a taller L-shaped skyscraper on the remaining empty lot.

Yeah it would be nice to have that one SIGNATURE skyscraper to go along with what we have and what we are adding to the skyline. Trump Tower would have been that, no question about it.

I'd rather more smaller projects before a Trump. It will slow down development after something that large is built. Too many surface lots to infill.
