Were they correct in their calculation, can you appeal? I mean if they are wrong, I would not let it go...

How do you make too much? Did they miscalculate? Sorry about the email - gosh, we started Monday already with terrible news!

i won't be able to appeal.

I dont know if you are an exempt or a non-exempt employee, but if you take your YTD, divide it by the week number; i.e., this week would be 44, multiple that by 52 you get a number that is not your salary, but that is the number they use - its technically not right, but there is no appealing that

The number they used for me was 7,000 over my actually salary...Its worse for me, because I am salary so I know to the dollar how much I make, no matter what so for them to tell me I make 7,000 more is absurd - for people whos income vary, there is less to argue.

yeah the thing is i make 50k but due to NY cost of living
i got an extras 8k plus the company i work for has different type of holidays. so some holidays i have to come to work
meaning my income is like 10k over the actual income that the company offered me

Guilty, lol, my heart skipped a beat. Fudge, I was tempted to call in sick but laid in bed and thought, this is the day I will hear back and I want to be at work when it happens (not sure why) so I came in. This sucks.

I'm off on Friday though...
