Guilty, lol, my heart skipped a beat. Fudge, I was tempted to call in sick but laid in bed and thought, this is the day I will hear back and I want to be at work when it happens (not sure why) so I came in. This sucks.

I'm off on Friday though...
I had gotten my email from my development at 5:07 PM with the city approval. It was one of the happiest train rides I ever had. Almost cried before I left the office.
It was literally the moment I had least expected because I told my self stop thinking about it the day before.

Anyway, still wishing good luck to you all! <3[/QUO
I can honestly say I'm almost numb from waiting. My boss just came back from his MBL and he was like, I'm not even going to ask. They all make fun of the fact that it's been 6 months and counting. At this point, I'm just looking forward to the end date of this madness, unless 280 Ashland emails me

It's been a while now, girl. I was just relating to her wanting to be called while at work. It just has this feeling to it, so I don't blame her for going in to work instead of taking the sick day. Haha.

I'm a firm believer in things happening for a reason.
If we date back to 2015 when I first started applying viciously to these things. I was introduced to the casino. What a horrible place it was, in a good way. I made visits, won lots of money, and lived a temporarily better life (Filet mignon anyone? ) Ultimately my good time got me disqualified from 605 West 42nd Street for putting me over income. I was literally devastated and said to myself (if only I hadn't been gambling.)
But come to find out, me being disqualified was a GOOD thing. That building was 60% AMI only once upon a time, but has gone through a shift change into "Phase 2" which added 40% and 120% to the mix. So EVERYONE that hadn't already signed the lease and moved in had been disqualified. Was told they have to reapply.
But HOW? A person in 60% makes too much for 40% and too little for 120%. How can they reapply? If they shack up with another with 60% AMI'er or take a pay cut?
If I hadn't been disqualified, I would've been sitting in LIMBO with all of those other poor souls that applied only to be told they won't get an apartment after all that hassle. I REALLY wanted to live there, and had ignored everything else that popped up at the time, because I didn't care about anything else. But I got smart right at the end and responded to a development I initially had zero interest in. Fast forward to now, it was the best decision I made. I grew to love my space, even though it wasn't what I wanted. Worst case scenario, I can just move to another development and free up the space for someone else on the waiting list.
The moral of the story, don't beat yourself up and stress yourself out, we literally have been through all of that. The waiting, the pressure, the stress, the rejection, the calls, the emails, the scrutiny...
If one thing doesn't work, just wait for the next. There will be other opportunities. Key word is try, here. Try not to let this consume your life. The more you think about this, the slower your life will be. I won't lie, I got stressed, and I thought about it a lot, and it wasn't very healthy. But the moment I "let it go", everything fell into place.
Also not sure if you may have already applied but 535 Carlton has apts available in 165% they have opened for anyone that may qualify.no lottery necessary it seems they couldn’t fill the spots from the lottery. Just a thought.
