My log # is in the 1800s and I would be in the middle income bracket, with no preference. Weird that I haven't been contacted? I'm paranoid that they sent a letter and it got delivered to one of my neighbors...which seems to happen with half of my mail these days. Who do I call to check?
If you were selected they would phone you as well. Also they would probably e-mail you.
Listen 1,800 sounds small against the 80,000 or so applicants. Consider the number of apartments available to middle income. I'm looking at it now, something like 60 apartments. Then consider that they have to fill preference groups first. Even if you are in the community board 2 group that means you have a better chance in those 30 or so apartments.
It's a difficult process and the people who vet these applications don't have it easy. They have to go through 1,800 people to get to you. If they can fill those 282 apartments before they get to you then it's not good for you. Sorry to say. I do wish you luck because saying all that I know people have gotten in with much higher log numbers.

I was told they are still interviewing preference groups. So I wouldn't be too worried, but that's a REALLY good considering the amount of people who have applied.
My log # 183 withour preference, still nothing from them. sign...
I believe they fill the preference groups first. So it could be a while.
A lot of people overlook the good news which is that there aren't scores of people on here saying that they've been denied and the Housing Connect website hasn't indicated that the selection process is over. So hang in folks. It may happen for you.

I'll be looking at your situation, since that's a very good log number but you have no preference. My log number on another lottery is 2xx and I also have no preference.

I spoke with somebody yesterday, they are doing preference groups still. I think you should be hearing from them within the next month or two.. being that the log # is VERY low , you'll be one of the first people to get contacted! which is GREAT! best of luck!

- keep us posted.
Yeah, I agree entirely.
I feel that a lot of people don't have their act together and when they are asked to produce the volume of documents these lotteries required they can't. So they are defeated by their own inaction.
Get your paperwork together. Be organized and respond to them ASAP whenever they ask for something. That will give you the BEST chance.
