Guys, I just heard the craziest story, not that we have not heard this kinda talk before but I was talking to a guy at work and was telling that a friend of one of his friends was recently arrested as in last week.

Apparently him and his cohorts were taking money under the table and giving people apartments that they were not qualified for. He said if these people did not have paperwork, they would make stuff up, it did not matter. So basically people that were making for example 200K were getting apartments for 1K. It basically didn't matter how much you made, they was taking upwards of 8K under the table. He mentioned 333 Schemorhorn and a building on 42nd street as another.

A clear example of the good suffering for the bad...

Were these for lottery apartments? It's kind of hard to fake that paperwork, as there's often third-party verification...

I dunno know, I asked if he knew which agency - he said no but it was bunch of people that were in on it.

I believe it's possible because I have heard and read this before with various articles, etc. Anyway, who knows...

exactly what I said to him when he told me the story. I have heard this happen before though so while I can't say how true, I would not be surprised.
