From what I read, it'll end sometime in 2020-something. Not too concerned because the apartment building is beautiful and a roof over our heads is the goal. I'll live with the sounds of construction lol
Nah, I lived in Fort Greene when Barclays was being built and there were so many condos like building being built and construction on the BQE as well. After a while i didnt even notice it. I am sure most of the construction will take place during the day when most people are at work so I am not really concerned about it.
Not concerned about construction, it's a reality. It's not like it will be happening in the middle of the night or anything. When I viewed the apartment supposedly assigned to me at Dean I said I don't mind living across from a future construction site, it will be like a real life Sim City!
If you are truly concerned the department of buildings or some city agency does post, legally required to do so, a list of all construction activity (usually very detailed) for any given week.
It's better to be around buildings going UP and getting built than being around buildings becoming abandoned and crumbling.
So I sent in my appeal November 30th. I am honestly losing hope at this point since there is only 1 apartment in the whole building that fits our # of people to # of bedrooms for our bracket. Good luck to those who have had an interview already!
Received a rejection letter in the mail today for not having submitted a copy of my drivers license (I submitted a copy of an expired passport but I'm sure that I also submitted my NYSDL). Going to appeal tomorrow. Frustrating!
