I have never heard of a case of HPD approving someone and then documents expiring because it has been 120 days since the documents were submitted. I think it is a done deal by that point. The parts of the building that don't look finished are the retail storefront parts. By all accounts the residential part of the building is ready for move-in.
I hope they are approving people that are not on this. Log. The rate they are going it will take them forever to lease up the building. We know of 3 that have been approved by HPD, that leaves 113 units to go. Approving 3 per week will take them 3 years. (Ha-ha)
Back in July, I was kidding around that we would not be in our apts til the holidays. I guess the joke is on me.
The way it looks it may be a year after notifications of intake. When you think it’s starting to move, it comes to a screeching halt. The agency ny is the silence. Start getting you docs together cause this like another 120 days. .
Im thinking maybe they are moving in luxury before they let us go in. I'm seeing a pattern of heavy segregation already. I'm grateful and it doesn't bother me but doesn't anyone else see that pattern?
My friend is in a lottery apartment and her unit is mixed in with the luxury market value apartments.
i don't want to start comparing processes of different buildings. And I don't want to jump to assumptions that we are being segregated. This is a new development and I feel that we can not make the process what we want it to be. I can imagine that BG has a huge undertaking and has to comply with checks and double checks. We don't know if the building is finished for move-in's or not. I know that those waiting are anxious as am i but we have to wait out the process. I know that I am blessed to have been selected for this amazing apartment in this amazing neighborhood and as much as I would like to be unpacking in my new home today, I know that it is coming.
As far as we know there are 3 on this blog that have been approved, we don't know how many more there have been. Has anyone else been contacted? One thing that is evident is that they are doing a through check of applicant information, which I can appreciate since these will be our neighbors and that we have a good & strong community @ 10 FPS. If anyone wanted a quick acceptance and move-in this lottery is not for you.
