I just have in and drove down to the building. Freedom Place is the street that I was wondering if it had been paved. Not yet, but I love the wide width of the street and the entrance set back. There has bee a lot of work done, the spaces next to the entrance have doors and it is looking good. I also saw lights on. Any day, they took the boards off the end of FP on the 59th St side. Is it time to be optimistic on a move in soon? It's a beautiful building and I feel
Like it is home. What a great location when all is said and done. I hope they reach out before the 28th. I will be away until Aug 6th( don't want to miss the call, when it comes) All, have a great
weekend and just hold on.i
You can walk right up to the affordable entrance if you follow the passageway along 59th Street. But I don't know if we're allowed to walk up to the entrance, so I didn't. I think the units are definitely in condition for viewing, so I wish they would let us see them even if they don't have the C of O!!
Great news! We have to be getting close. I'm actually surprised it's been so long since the last inspection. I'm so anxious to see the units or hear anything at all!

Is 10 Freedom Pl the same as 1 West End located on West End between 59th and 60th?

Yes, it's a "poor door" situation with 2 addresses and 2 entrances. 1 West End is the glass tower on top of the stone base. 10 Freedom Place is the stone base. The entrance to 1 West End is on West End Avenue, the entrance to 10 Freedom Place is on the other (west) side, on the new street under construction "Freedom Place".
Thank you for clarifying...I had been confusing 10 Freedom Place with 40 Riverside Blvd which has a poor door. I thought that poor doors were no longer allowed. Poor door or not, you guys are going to love your new homes. Your entrance will be on Freedom Place just like 21 West End Ave.
Also, I don't know if this will come to pass or not but just today I saw a plan for the area that calls for a subway stop on 60th and West End; it would be an extension of the L train.

Best of luck to all.
An extension of the L train?? On 60th street?? But the L train is just the 14th street crosstown line... how would it get that far uptown?!
Poor doors were banned but this building was approved before the ban was implemented.
Oh congrats! Hoping to be your neighbor soon. How are you finding the area? I'm on the UWS currently, but closer to the top of the park. Does it feel more like UWS or midtown?
